November 2023

BULLHEAD CITY, AZ — A transformative project is unfolding at the Bullhead Senior Campus Building, with construction firm T.R. Orr Inc. spearheading an ambitious expansion aimed at enhancing the quality of life for the city’s active senior community.
The extensive project will add a generous 9,000 square feet to the existing structure, creating a wealth of new opportunities for engagement, activity, and socialization. Of this new space, a substantial 7,700 square feet is earmarked for indoor activities and meeting areas, while an additional 1,300 square feet will accommodate a covered outdoor patio, providing a shaded retreat for outdoor gatherings.
Initiated with a ceremonial groundbreaking on August 14, 2023, the expansion marks a significant milestone for the Bullhead City community. Local dignitaries gathered to commemorate the occasion, delivering speeches and participating in the symbolic turning of the ground.
Strategically located at 2275 Trane Road, the Bullhead City Senior Campus has long stood as a central hub for the city’s active adult population, offering a vibrant space for socialization, exercise, gaming, and access to vital senior resources. The facility operates Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., ensuring consistent availability for the community it serves.
The expansion is on track for completion in August 2024, with anticipation building steadily within the community. The added space is expected to significantly enhance the Senior Campus Building’s capacity to host a broader range of activities and events, catering to the diverse interests and needs of Bullhead City’s senior residents.
The indoor activity and meeting space will serve as a dynamic area for a variety of programs and gatherings. From exercise classes and wellness workshops to social clubs and game nights, the enhanced facility will offer something for everyone. The covered outdoor patio, with its ample shade and comfortable seating, will provide an ideal setting for relaxed socializing, outdoor classes, or simply enjoying the fresh air.
This expansion is a response to the growing needs of the senior community in Bullhead City, reflecting an understanding of the vital role that social engagement and active living play in the lives of seniors. With more space, the Bullhead Senior Campus Building will be better equipped to foster a sense of community, support healthy aging, and enhance the overall quality of life for its visitors.
The Bullhead Senior Campus Building’s expansion is shaping up to be a beacon of community engagement and active living for seniors, ensuring that the facility continues to be a cherished part of Bullhead City’s social landscape for years to come.
