BULLHEAD CITY – The Side Street Strutters will kick off the Colorado River Concert’s 2022-2023 season 7 p.m., Nov. 9 at the Mohave High School Auditorium (corner of Hancock Road and Highway 95) in Bullhead City.

The Strutters have presented formal concerts, symphony pops performances, and student outreach programs in fifty states, seven European countries, Canada, and Mexico. Their superb musicianship and award-winning orchestrations have earned them national and international acclaim. All this in addition to having entertained guests at the Disneyland Resort for decades as well as participating in many red-carpet movie premiers for the Walt Disney Company.

The Strutter’s powerful arrangements showcase the individual artistry of seven fantastic musicians on saxophone, clarinet, piano, drums, bass, trombone, and trumpet. Meloney Collins, whose smooth vocal style pays tribute to the great female jazz legends, joins them. “You will experience the excitement, vitality and spontaneity of Jazz-America’s musical heritage,” said Julie Hassett, concert series president.

The season continues in 2023 on Jan. 19 when Broadway veteran and recording artist, Chester Gregory presents a Rhythm & Blues tribute. On Feb. 23, Mercury: The Music of Queen will be brought to life by International Countertenor, Terry Barber and Tony Award Winner Grace Field. The season concludes with the Canadian string super-group, Sultans of String on March 28.

Hassett expressed deep gratitude for the generosity of many individuals, businesses, and service clubs that support the mission of Colorado River Concerts.
