• You’re Simply the Best: Tribute to Tina Turner, Sept. 22, 2023, London Bridge Resort Convention Center – This benefit tribute concert for the Havasu Community Health Foundation features the Motown Blossoms performing a record-breaking string of Motown favorites by The Marvelettes, The Supremes, Aretha Franklin, The Shirelles, Martha Reeves and The Van Dellas, plus many more. This talented cast of performers has performed internationally as a group and individually on the main stages up and down the Vegas Strip, in Atlantic City casinos and as far away as Thailand. • U.S. Freestyle PWC Championship, Sept. 30, 2023, London Bridge – September is a big month for PWC competition, concluding with the Freestyle Personal Watercraft Association (FPWCA) IJSBA-sanctioned (International Jet Sports Boating Association) event Fall Round of 2022 P1 Racing Fuels U.S. Freestyle Championships taking place Sept. 30 under the world-famous London Bridge. The U.S. PWC Freestyle Championship is the tour that separates freestyle competition from high-speed racing on personal watercraft. Riders perform in two-minute routines and are judged on variety, difficulty, execution, flow and number of tricks by a select panel of judges.

NPS phases out ‘Trailer Village’ at Cottonwood Cove

The National Park Service (NPS) has set into motion a plan that will see the gradual phasing out of a longstanding trailer park on the shores of Lake Mohave. The Trailer Village at Cottonwood Cove, which has been a fixture in the area since the early 1970s, is set to be completely phased out by 2043. The decision was made as part of a new lease agreement between the NPS and Lake Mead Mohave Adventures— a company that oversees the majority of commercial operations within the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
