COUNTY – The Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and Board of Supervisors have unanimously approved the General Plan and land use zoning applications for the development of Entrata, a groundbreaking new master-planned community set to redefine the landscape of Mohave County. The Entrata project encompasses the first private land reached upon entering Arizona from the Nevada border over the Hoover Dam Bypass from the Las Vegas Valley. Spanning over 10,000 acres of land near White Hills and Dolan Springs, Entrata is strategically positioned along the US Highway 93 / Interstate-11 corridor, 25 miles south of the Hoover Dam and about 45 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip.
The Entrata project opens up enormous new growth opportunities for commercial, industrial, logistics, warehousing, and aviation activities. Its central proximity in the southwestern U.S. market and its direct access to major transportation corridors make it well suited for these types of uses. The approved plans include over 2,000 acres of industrial, manufacturing, airpark logistics, and commercial uses.
In addition to its industrial focus, Entrata will boast a first-class residential community and diverse commercial services to meet the growing needs of existing and future residents in Mohave County. The commercial offerings include new shopping centers, dining, entertainment, and public safety services. The development also proposes parks and connective trail systems and is expected to generate thousands of local jobs over time, contributing to the economic vitality of the region.
“Entrata represents a unique opportunity to create a community that not only addresses the growing residential needs but also serves as an economic catalyst for the region,” said Owner and Developer of Entrata, Allen Barbarich. “We are grateful for the unanimous support from the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and the Board of Supervisors. These milestone approvals mark the beginning of a transformative journey towards a well-planned, vibrant, and sustainable community.”
The planning effort includes a robust business park featuring the existing, FAA-approved 8,968-foot runway, serving as a vital anchor for aviation-related enterprises. The Entrata airport and business park’s proximity to Las Vegas, Phoenix, the Long Beach and Los Angeles ocean ports ,and the potential to act as a future reliever airport for freight aviation uses from the Harry Reid Airport, enhance the project opportunities.
Lead Land Use Consultant Kathy Tackett-Hicks of KTH Consulting in Kingman, Arizona, highlighted the significance of Entrata’s location, saying “Strategically situated along the new Interstate-11 corridor between Las Vegas and Phoenix, Entrata is poised to become a hub for industrial, logistics, and distribution activities. This development aligns with the evolving needs of the region and positions Mohave County as a key player in economic growth.”
The Entrata master plan will include the development of full urban infrastructure required for the diversity of uses, and the project will bring the first centralized water distribution and wastewater treatment systems to the area.
Entrata management is currently focusing on engineering and backbone infrastructure design. Entrata’s hydrology firm, Clear Creek Associates, has already submitted a 100-year water adequacy determination application to the Arizona Department of Water Resources. Vertical construction is anticipated to begin in late 2025.
Entrata’s land plans were developed in collaboration with the Scottsdale, AZ offices of RVi Planning, an award-winning land planning and landscape architecture firm. Barbarich said the firm’s expertise has been integral in shaping Entrata’s blueprint for success, ensuring thoughtful design and functionality across the community. Earl & Curley, a distinguished Arizona zoning and land use law firm, provided and will continue to provide legal support for the project.

Mark Zuckerberg is very sorry. His apology at a Senate hearing to the families of victims of online child sex abuse was dramatic, and the human thing to do in the moment, although he was pressured into it under persistent questioning from Sen. Josh Hawley, a Republican from Missouri.
