BULLHEAD CITY – The CASA Council invites everyone to showcase their golf skills for a noble cause at its 13th annual golf tournament, Saturday, October 28. This much-anticipated yearly event, a staple in the community’s calendar, has been fortunate to receive support from generous sponsors, including Unisource Energy Services, which donated $2,500 last year.
Set against the scenic backdrop of the Laughlin Ranch Golf Club in Bullhead City, the tournament promises both competition and camaraderie. The Shotgun Scramble is set for 7 a.m. Tickets, priced at $85, directly benefit children in foster care. Each ticket covers cart, green fees, lunch, and a four-person scramble. Attendees can also contribute by bringing an unwrapped toy. Additionally, the event will feature raffles and a silent auction, offering attendees a chance to win exciting prizes.
A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) plays a crucial role in recommending the best outcomes for abused or neglected children. With recruiting and training programs in 49 U.S. states, CASA volunteers ensure children find appropriate housing and aren’t lost in legal complexities. The organization has been instrumental in helping over 280,300 children find stable homes.
