BULLHEAD CITY — UPS has announced the closure of its customer center at 2913 Easy St. in Bullhead City, effective November 17, as part of a nationwide effort to streamline operations. The move is aimed at reducing costs and increasing efficiency by consolidating facilities and automating processes.

A notice posted on the door of the Bullhead City center, a converted single-wide mobile home located south of the Palo Verde Professional Plaza and west of Highway 95, informs customers of the permanent closure and directs them to alternative locations listed on ups.com.

”We are closing select UPS Customer Centers to better align with our customers’ preferences for more convenient and easily accessible drop-off options,” UPS stated in an email to the Mohave Valley Daily News. ”We will continue our high standard of customer service through a wide range of resources available to our customers, including UPS drop boxes, over 10,000 full-service retail shipping locations such as The UPS Store and Staples, as well as UPS authorized shipping outlets and providers.”

Deliveries to homes and businesses in the area will not be affected by the closure. Local drop boxes and authorized shipping outlets remain operational, ensuring that customers still have access to UPS services.
Alternative locations in and around Bullhead City include:

UPS Access Points at CVS Pharmacy in Riverview Mall, 2350 Miracle Mile, Bullhead City, and at 4744 Highway 95 in Fort Mohave.

Authorized Shipping Outlets such as Bullhead Print & Ship at 1812 Highway 95, Suite 14, Bullhead City, and Postal Connections at 4825 Highway 95, Suite 2, Fort Mohave. Hardware Express at 419 W. Broadway in Needles is also an authorized provider.

Drop Boxes located at Home Depot, 660 Highway 95, Bullhead City; Horizon Outlet Mall, 1955 Casino Drive, Laughlin; Mohave Market Place, 5480 Highway 95, Fort Mohave; and Wagon Wheel Truck Stop, 2420 W. Broadway St., Needles.

The closure is part of UPS’s ”Network of the Future” initiative announced in March. The company plans to shut down about 200 customer centers across the United States to focus on automating package hubs and reducing reliance on manual labor. Nando Cesarone, UPS executive vice president and president of U.S. operations, discussed the strategy during an investors conference.

”We are targeting all activities for automation within our facilities,” Cesarone said. ”These consolidations and automations yield real savings.”

UPS projects that these cost-saving measures will result in approximately $3 billion in savings by the end of 2028. The company began closing some customer centers in August and has continued the process throughout the year.

Local customers who previously relied on the Bullhead City customer center will need to adjust to the new options. UPS emphasizes that the closures are designed to meet changing customer preferences by offering more accessible and convenient locations.
